Abstract

In this work, microrelief results measured in 66 plots, ca. 1.80 m2 in area, are presented. Data were obtained in each surface by a pinmeter, over a 20 x 20 mm regular grid. Data sets included both, different tillage conditions (mouldboard plough, harrow and recent tilled surfaces) and soil surface degradation state as induced by natural rain effect, ranging from initial to sedimentary. The random roughness index, RR, was calculated for different conditions. When only the slope effect was removed RR values were in the range between 10.08 mm and 50.99 mm, whereas when slope plus tillage features were removed, these range was between 7.42 mm and 38.55 mm. Surfaces prepared by mouldboard ploughing present a significantly higher roughness values than all of other surfaces.
