Abstract. The final destination of many industrial residues is a fact that generate a lot of poblems and discussion because the ways utilized untill now, could be no so save to enviroment or public health. Many of them are constituted by organic mather and, for this reazon, is not so undertandable why the industries spend so much to burn it or to bury it, while the tropical and mediterranean soils needs so much of this material.

The modern concept of enviromental management includes the effluent’s recycling and, for this, the composting is a safety way to treat them and reutilise the nutrients contained in this matherial.

This work was developed in spite to evaluate the composting process using air flux, as an economic and viable alternative to treat the brewery’s biologycal sludge .

The results obtained show that this process reduced in a 70% the potencial of polution from the total organic mather, and the reduction was of the 77% from the compostable organic mather. Moreower, the total sludge mass was reduced in 82,5% and its volum in 72,5%.

This process also eliminated the desagreable smell and result in a compost free of phitotoxines with could be used in agronomics pratices.

Key words: industrial solid waste, management enviromental, sludge, composting
